JM Education and Research Centre (JMERC) seeks to engage gender, education and youth Champions in supporting practices, policies and systems that will help end gender inequality, learning poverty and youth unemployment in Uganda by 2030. Our Strategic priorities (2023-2027) and Program Framework align with U.N. Sustainable Development Goal #4: Quality Education, Goal #5: Gender Equality and Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. Advocacy is a pillar of our Pathways to End gender inequality, Learning Poverty and Youth unemployment and supports our bold mission to grow the movement to achieve gender equality and quality and inclusive education.

As a champion, you will be an advocate of transforming the world by putting your effort where it matters most. You will develop a greater awareness of gender, education and youth programming and advocacy and their impact as you gain the skills you need to take action. We’ll work to achieve gender equality and inclusion in education, foundational learning skills for all children, social and emotional skills (SEL) for students and vocational and entrepreneurial skills for youth, especially girls.
Let’s join our voices and urge funding organizations, Corporations, associations, individuals, political leaders and researchers to make gender equality, Foundational Learning skills, Social and Emotional Learning skills, and Vocational and Entrepreneurship skills for youth in Uganda a priority by supporting one or more of our causes. Together, we can create a world where all children and youth learn, achieve and thrive.
